Material Movements
Every change in stock is recorded as a material movement. itsTrack tracks all of them so you always have a complete audit trail.
Types of movements
| Movement type | What it means |
|---|---|
| Receipt | Goods arrive — stock goes up |
| Issue | Goods leave the warehouse — stock goes down |
| Transfer | Goods move between warehouses or locations |
| Adjustment | Manual correction after a stock count |
| Job usage | Parts used on a field job — linked to the task |
Recording a receipt
When new stock arrives:
- Go to Warehouse → Movements.
- Click Add receipt.
- Select the material and quantity.
- Enter supplier info and delivery note number (optional).
- Save.
Stock level updates immediately.
Recording an issue
When material leaves the warehouse:
- Click Add issue.
- Select material and quantity.
- Link to a job if the parts are for a specific task.
- Note who took the material.
- Save.
Linking issues to jobs gives you accurate cost per job data for analytics and billing.
Transfers between warehouses
If you have multiple storage locations:
- Click Add transfer.
- Select source and destination warehouse.
- Select material and quantity.
- Save.
Both warehouses update at the same time. The transfer is logged with date, user, and quantity.
Audit trail
Every movement is permanent and timestamped:
- Who made the change
- When it happened
- What changed (before and after quantity)
- Linked job or document
You can always answer: "Who used this part and when?"

Link material issues to jobs whenever possible. It connects warehouse costs directly to client work and improves your financial reports.
