Magic Links
Magic Links let you send clients a secure web link to view or approve something — without creating an account or logging in.
What are Magic Links?
A Magic Link is a unique, time-limited URL you send to a client (by email or SMS). When they open it, they see exactly what you want them to see — a job summary, a protocol to sign, or an approval request.
No password. No app install. No confusion.
Common use cases
| Use case | What the client sees |
|---|---|
| Job approval | Summary of work done, photos, price — approve or reject |
| Protocol signature | Digital form to read and sign |
| Visit confirmation | Scheduled visit details — confirm or reschedule |
| Document sharing | Service report or invoice for download |
How to send a Magic Link
- Open the completed (or in-progress) task.
- Click Send Magic Link.
- Choose what the client can see (summary, photos, protocol, signature).
- Enter the client's email or phone number.
- Send.
The client receives a link. They open it in any browser on any device.
Security
Magic Links are designed to be safe:
- Unique URL — each link works for one purpose
- Time-limited — links expire after a set period
- Scoped access — client sees only what you shared, nothing else in the system
- No account needed — reduces friction without opening your full system
warning
Do not share Magic Links in public channels. Send them directly to the client's email or phone.
What happens after the client responds?
When a client approves, signs, or confirms through a Magic Link:
- The task record updates automatically
- Signatures attach to the job and PDF report
- Managers get a notification
- The action is logged with date and time
