Field Work
This is what happens when a worker goes on site. itsTrack gives them everything they need on their phone — no paper, no phone calls back to the office.
What the worker sees
When a job is assigned, the worker gets a notification on their phone. They open the app and see:
- Job title and full description
- Client name and contact
- Location with address — often with map navigation
- Linked machine(s) and their history
- Flow stages — step-by-step instructions for the job
- Attached protocol/form if one is required
Flow stages
Flow stages break a job into clear steps. For example, an HVAC inspection might have:
- Visual check of the unit
- Measure temperature and pressure
- Replace filter
- Take photos of serial plate
- Collect client signature
The worker checks off each step as they go. Managers see progress in real time.
Adding photos
Workers can attach photos directly from their device:
- Before and after shots
- Serial numbers and nameplates
- Damage or wear documentation
- Proof of completed work
Photos link to the job and to the machine history automatically.
Notes
Workers can add text notes at any point:
- What they found on site
- Parts used or needed
- Recommendations for follow-up work
- Client requests
Notes are timestamped and visible to managers immediately.
Client signatures
When the job is done, the worker can collect a client signature on the device screen. No paper forms needed.
The signature attaches to the job record and appears in the PDF report.
Working offline
Field workers sometimes lose signal. itsTrack handles this gracefully — data syncs when connection returns.
Encourage workers to add at least one photo and a short note on every job. It protects your company and helps with future service visits.
