Routes and GPS

The Logistics module helps you track your field team in real time and plan their routes efficiently.

Live worker location

When workers use the itsTrack mobile app, the system records their GPS location during active jobs. Managers see where each person is on a map — no need to call and ask "where are you?"

This helps with:

  • Dispatching the nearest available worker to an urgent job
  • Confirming a worker arrived at the client site
  • Reviewing route efficiency after the fact

Route planning

Plan the order of stops directly on the map:

  1. Select the jobs for the day.
  2. Arrange stop order — manually or with suggested optimization.
  3. Assign the route to a worker.
  4. The worker sees the full route on their phone with navigation.

Why plan routes?

  • Less driving time between jobs
  • More jobs completed per day
  • Lower fuel costs
  • Predictable arrival times for clients

Route deviations

itsTrack compares the planned route with the actual path taken. If a worker deviates significantly, it shows up in analytics.

This is useful for:

  • Spotting unnecessary detours
  • Verifying visits to required locations
  • Building accurate travel time data for future planning

→ See KPI Metrics — Logistics for deviation reports.

GPS and privacy

Location tracking works only during active work periods — when a worker is checked in or has an active job. See Check-in and Check-out for how workers log their work time.

info

Tell your team that GPS tracking is part of the job management system, not personal surveillance. It activates during work hours and active jobs.
