Setup and First Steps

itsTrack On-premise runs on your own server. You get the ease of a cloud tool, but your data stays under your control.

This guide shows you how to install itsTrack in a few simple steps.

info

We created your server instance. Login details and license files were sent to the email address you used when you signed up.

1. Get your files ready

Before you run the installer, check that you have everything from the welcome email.

Your instance details

  • Server ID: A unique code (for example, ITS-467K2-E3L).
  • Model: On-premise (local install).
  • License: Your 3-day trial license lets you test all features.

Download the Windows installer: windows-setup.exe

Check your email and download these two files:

  • license.json — your digital license
  • installer.json — connection settings

2. Install step by step

The install process is automatic. You do not need advanced IT skills.

Step 1: Download config files

Open the email from itsTrack and download:

  • license.json — your digital license
  • installer.json — connection settings

Save them somewhere easy to find (for example, your Desktop).

Step 2: Run the installer

Open windows-setup.exe. The program will guide you through setup on your computer or server.

Step 3: Activate and connect

During install, the system will ask for your two .json files. With those files, the installer will:

  1. Activate your license.
  2. Create a safe, encrypted tunnel to your instance.

Step 4: Done

When install is finished, log in using the address from your email (for example, https://its-467k2-e3l.itstrack.net/).

3. What happens under the hood

During setup, itsTrack prepares a secure link between your local server and the itsTrack network. Your operational data stays on your machine. The tunnel is used only for safe remote access and updates.

You do not need:

  • A fixed public IP address
  • Open firewall ports
  • Manual port forwarding
