Custom Domain (White-label)

itsTrack lets you use your own web address instead of the default technical one (for example, its-467k2-e3l.itstrack.net).

This helps your team and clients see your brand, not a generic system URL.

info

Security stays the same: A custom domain only changes the web address. Your on-premise connection stays protected by the encrypted TLS tunnel.

Why use your own domain?

Brand consistency — Your team works on an address that matches your company (for example, service.your-brand.com).

Easy access — People do not need to remember long Server Lookup IDs.

Professional image — Clients and partners see a familiar address, not a technical subdomain.

How to set it up

You need a small DNS change on your domain, plus a short message to our team.

Step 1: Choose your address

Pick a subdomain that fits your team. Common examples:

  • fsm.your-domain.com
  • itstrack.your-domain.com
  • portal.your-domain.com

Step 2: Add a CNAME record

In your domain panel (for example, Cloudflare, OVH, or your registrar), add a DNS record like this:

TypeHostValue (Target)TTL
CNAMEyour-prefix (for example, itstrack)gateway.itstrack.net3600 (or Auto)
warning

Cloudflare users: Set the record to DNS Only (grey cloud). If you turn on Proxied (orange cloud), we may not be able to create your SSL certificate.

Step 3: Tell itsTrack

After you change DNS, send a short message to support@itstrack.net (or reply to your welcome email). Include:

  • Server ID (for example, ITS-467K2-E3L)
  • Your new domain (for example, fsm.your-company.com)

What happens after you contact us?

When we know your DNS is ready, our team will:

  1. Check DNS — We confirm your CNAME record is live.
  2. Map your domain — We link your domain to your on-premise instance in our central system.
  3. Create SSL — We set up an HTTPS certificate for your address.
  4. Finish setup — We send you a confirmation. Your system works on the new address. The default address still works as a backup.

Troubleshooting

:::danger Domain not working yet? DNS propagation: DNS changes can take from 15 minutes to a few hours. You can check status with tools like Google Dig.

Certificate error: If the browser shows an unsafe connection, check that your CNAME is not filtered by a proxy (for example, Cloudflare Proxy). :::
